An inordinate amount of humans and pets adore shoes. Pets have a close relationship with them. If loyal, the furry ones take pleasure in inhaling the smell of their owner’s shoes. If disloyal they’ ll take the first smelly shoe they find lying around.

Zoe, our cat, falls into the second category.

Women People have hundreds dozens of shoes which become natural extensions of their feet. Going out shoes, flats, high heels, latest trends, sandals, flip flops, sneakers, and even galoshes are treasured as if life’s worth depended on these two identical objects.

There’s one type of foot extension which is a favorite among men and women, perhaps because it conjures the possibility of sex for the latter and an overall impression of being sexy for the former.

The boots, or Stivali. Cowboys, high fashion women, business ladies, country gals and European trend-setting girls wear them.

This is a picture taken at a snazzy party in Rome, Italy. My sister is the one wearing the light brown boots which cost….let’s just say a lot of money.

I personally would love to possess and actually use more shoes and boots.

A pair of Mephisto my mom bought me in Italy mysteriously ended up on these little feet.

Livia, like all of my other kids, loves to play with my shoes.

I wish I could say no to my kids, but what about these little faces?
