My wonderful mother is going through a rough time – to say the least ..what kills me is that we are sooo far an ocean apart – and there isn’t much I can do to help.
So I thought that I would use this blog to make her feel like I am closer
Here it goes mom:
Mamma – do you remember all the letters and notes I used to send you? telling you how much I loved you? Well it’s the same today even if I have six children and a husband who is also not doing so great. We the matriarchal women of the Tedaldi family are holding the fort up (ok Tullio and Potto can be part of our lot) You are and remain my first absolute love.
I would love to write more but I am not going to write the details of your ‘ordeal’ because I wouldn’t write something private for all to see unless you gave me your permission (and it’s the middle of the night in Italy right now) so ….
I am going to write a special post for you every day so that you can read it and it’ll seem like we are closer Sort of like our internet coffee time
Here is my first lift me up series for you:
1. Remember the time I thought one of the kids got up from bed and I was yelling who got up? (it’s supposed ot make you laugh…ha ha ha)
2. Think about the pictures we took at Jenny Craig – I can do it ! well we sure didn’t do it but gave up after only two weeks of those meals…
3. I love the song what a wonderful world….. maybe you can listen to it today….
4. you taught me to be a good person (even to my mother in law)
5. You are and will always be my Ciu Ciu…
5. I went to church this Sunday and felt a lot better especially after eating the great breakfast they have at St. Ann’s
6. when I think of the person who loves me unconditionally – I think of you
I am with you always
Ok and I also have some inspirational readings for today. It’s Luke 8: 19-21 and the phrase I like the most is “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the words of God and act on it”
And most importantly remember: Anything that boys can do girls can do better!
3. Se puoi ascolta la canzone “What a wonderful world”
4. Vai corri furetta a fai capriole in studio prima che arrivino i pazienti (scherzo, pero’ dai l’idea ti fa ridere)
