As a mother of a 2 year old boy, a boy that fell in the pool this past father’s day – my heart goes out to her and her family. We were lucky – my husband saw our son going over the edge of the pool and hit the bottom before our son did – I cannot imagine the heartache they are feeling –

I am also a military wife and mom also (Canada) and relatively new to your blog. Forgive my ignorance, but is Shellie a well-known blogger/”celebrity” blogger? Her recent post asking people to allow her family space to grieve addresses media outlets, etc. Does she simply mean her local news stations? It sounds, from her tone, like a media firestorm or something. Just wondering if I’m missing something. Either way, my heart aches for her.

Someone questioned if the story was true and others started obsessing over why she Twittered soon after her loss, so a controversy ensued.
