I am an opinionated and hot tempered (very hot tempered) Italian woman. I was born and raised in Rome, close to Coliseum – in fact numerous times, I went to the Coliseum at night to play hide and seek with my friends – not that this fact is particularly relevant but it sounds cool so there you have it
I am a mom to many children, and the wife of a Ninja who happens to work for the United States Air Force. I live in a small Southern town. I came to my little corner of the world via New York City, Los Angeles and Daleville, Alabama.
I have an opinion on pretty much anything – my opinions always change. I am neither liberal nor conservative. You could like my blog until I come up with a crazy idea or position and than you’ll probably really dislike me until I write something else that could redeem me.
I used to be an investment banking analyst on Wall Street, what used to be Wall Street in the good old days. I was also a law student and Yoga instructor. Now I am a journalist, writer, mom.
As a young girl my dream was to 1. live in Texas; 2. have a locker in a real American high school 3. be a cheerleader; 4. learn how to ride a horse 5. and most importantly master a southern accent. I never got a locker or learned how to ride a horse but have been to Texas a few times and own two pairs of cowboy boots.
I am an immigrant, with a sexy accent. I am proud to be an American citizen and I exercise my right to express my opinions with ‘gusto.’ I love country music and I am not related to the mafia, not even remotely, though I had always wanted to be the daughter of someone connected, especially when the economy isn’t doing well.
I take pride in the fact that I research and investigate issues before forming an opinion, which doesn’t mean that you’ll agree with me. I love to talk to people and find out that we share some of the same basic human experiences.
If you really want to I will give you some secrete Italian recipes - but you have to email me for that.
