My wonderful mother is going through a rough time - to say the least ..what kills me is that we are sooo far an ocean apart - and there isn’t much I can do to help.
So I thought that I would use this blog to make her feel like I am closer
Here it goes mom:
Mamma - do you remember all the letters and notes I used to send you? telling you how much I loved you? Well it’s the same today even if I have six children and a husband …

As I said in my title, Lehman Brothers is dead, AIG is on life support and I am freaking out thinking about what will happen next and how it’ll effect us.
So while I am spinning around with catastrophic thoughts about the end of our war ridden jolly good time , I stumble upon a picture of a six week old fetus in someone’s hand — don’t ask how I get to this picture probably through internet maze. It looks just like a tiny minuscule baby. I feel sick to my …

I am a competitive person. Not too strange if you consider that my dad’s tender words in most situations that involved me and others were,”You must destroy your adversaries at all cost – I want to see destruction in your eyes”.
And so I tried. I tried my best to beat the competition in my dance classes, in school, when I worked on Wall Street – though I failed miserably as an analyst and in many things that I did.

Recent comments and nasty emails, one even threatening …

I recently received a very touching letter from a woman struggling with post-partum depression. She mentioned that some days she can’t wait for night to come so that she can close her eyes again and not feel.
This young military wife, who just had her first son while her husband is in Iraq for a year, tells me that she feels guilty not being happy or overjoyed by her son, who of course she loves, and that she doesn’t feel comfortable seeking help.  This reluctance is common for mothers everywhere. According …

Thank you for all of the comments you shared with me and for your stories.
This is an outrage. Some of the horrible medical nightmares many of you have faced are outrageous. I have received 1335 email message in one day about horror stories with Tricare and will respond to each one of them - just be patient if it’s not tomorrow!
Clearly something needs to change.
I plan on contacting Tricare representatives and on taking action in concrete ways.
I am sorry you had to go through so much pain after giving so …

Come on you know you love it, they love it and it’s good for them.
My kids love sweets and having them snack on Yoplait yougurt is so much better than the usual packets of raw sugar I feed them. The Yogurt is great, especially the characters they have on the cartons.
Can you resist Dora and Diego? It’s pratically eating with your kids’ celebrity idols. Hey, one of my little one (I have 6), age 2, even has conversations with them:
Daughter: “Dora do you want to eat my yogurt?” Tries …
